Building software at the intersection of utility and craft.
I'm a software engineering student at the University of Calgary (graduating May 2027). Most recently I spent 16 months at TC Energy building web apps and tools that engineering teams actually use. Replaced a lot of spreadsheets along the way.
I write mostly TypeScript and Python. React and Next.js on the frontend, FastAPI or Flask on the back. I like working across the whole stack: thinking through the architecture first, then seeing it through to something shipped.
Right now I'm leading the software side of SCOUT, a search-and-rescue drone (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) capstone with Lockheed Martin. Getting live telemetry, thermal video, and mission planning to all work together in one web interface has been the most interesting thing I've built so far.
- ArduPilot and MAVLink: telemetry pipelines, SITL simulation, operator UX
- Fault tolerance and partial-fill recovery in financial execution systems
- Distributed systems fundamentals: consistency, replication, latency trade-offs
